own storytelling ability. You feel curious about what the lone chair placed outdoors is doing there. It’s like a sentinel standing guard, waiting for its human to return.

I like your composition with geometric use of squares and diamond and straight lines with everything placed off center in a casual way with the sun shining strongly and at an angle so the viewer knows it’s mid morning or mid afternoon. You colors are soft, clean, and sharp.

Your Marshes Landscape is quite a contrast with it’s moodiness and tumultuous look, giving the impression of dark clouds gathering and wind whipping the tree branches and plants, getting ready to unleash a storm on the landscape. The colors are bright but dark and the light puts the tree and vegetation in dark relief against the sky.

The contrast is striking between a quiet sunny day and the moment of turmoil before a storm is unleashed.

Both paintings tell a story and it’s fun, as the observer, to have some input in how we choose to add to the story. Thanks!
