a biography - as you might assume from his art, he was depressed and drank a lot. His use of color is really fascinating, and for a depressed guy who drank a lot he was quite prolific. The Nazis considered his paintings to be "degenerate" but fortunately his collection survived the occupation. There are thousands of drawings and paintings in the Munch museum in Oslo.
