2. I kept picking up my journal and held it out at arm's length to compare

my lines. It seemed to help somewhat, but it still took me hours to sketch that base for this. I will be glad when it becomes second nature.

I was all set to do an oblique view of the building, but I came around the side and saw through the windows, and I was in love! It did seem like inking out all the roof and siding shingles might seem busy, so I waited until all the paint was on to see if it felt necessary. I decided it was better off implied in this case.
