I live in Detroit and am proud to say our museum was one of the first, if not THE first one the country to purchase one of his paintings. They had a huge retrospective of his work last year. It was amazing. And to think he did all that work over just a ten year period. And I think he died at 30! Such a loss. who knows what he would have accomplished if he lived longer.
