housemate's niece into it. Gave her a bilingual German-English bible for her first Communion, although French would have made more sense for her, given that they have French-Canadian relatives who still speak French as a first language. Going to try and get her started on the Pratchett 'Tiffany Aching' books, and if she likes those, give her the German editions as well.
