(31,429 posts)810. Alexis Korner, known as a "founding father of British blues"
Alexis Korner's "Blues Incorporated" was an R&B band that included slide guitarist Brian Jones, keyboardist Ian Jones and drummer Charlie Watts.
Mick Jagger and Keith Richards began jamming with the band.
After leaving Blues Incorporated, Brian Jones advertised for bandmates in Jazz Weekly and Ian Stewart, Keith Richards and Mick Jagger joined the new band which played their first show billed as "The Rollin' Stones"....The rest is rock& roll history.
