88. In our family, we have decided to call this final loving act "liberating the spirit."

Monday

Euthanized sounds very impersonal for something so fraught with emotion, put down sounds harsh and we so wish they were just going to sleep.

Liberating the spirit has a kind and gentle feel to it, at least for our family.

Wishing you strength and serenity.
