5. Sorry to say.... you may have to explore after maket fobs

Go to a locksmith that works with car fobs, or check the internet. Even ace hardware will program new ones for certain makes and models.

But for a 20 year old car, even a bmw, you arent going to get any attention from a dealer or corporate. They just wont care.

And forget an attorney. BMW is under no conceivable law to provide any spare parts or service for that car. Anything they provide will be best effort only. No court is going to force them to repair, replace, or even provide spares.

The real problem wont be getting a new fob, it will be integrating it with the security system on the car. That will likely need a special set of software and cabling.
