3. I miss my feral kitty

I lived in an old house with a back yard. A cat who'd already been caught, neutered, and released took up residence there. This is Oakland, so she didn't have to cope with extreme weather, and there were plenty of places to get out of the rain. I provided food and water, and she was happy.

She eventually turned into a real lap cat. She'd sit in my lap whenever she could. I decided to sell my house and move into an apartment. I didn't want to leave her to whomever moved in, so the people from the awesome Oakland animal shelter caught her and put her up for adoption. She only lasted about an hour on their website before someone adopted her. I'm so happy for her and the lucky people who got her, but I miss her tremendously.

My current place is too small, but I wish I could borrow a cat for a few hours from time to time.
