18. Well, community health is challenging at the best of times.

I had some difficult patients in homeless medicine, because the homeless are people like everyone else. But I always preferred them to mainstream patients, many of whom can be very demanding.

Once I’ve established myself with my new employer, I’m going to see if I can talk the bosses into opening a clinic for the underserved and underinsured. The parent company is officially a not-for-profit, so it’s worth a try.
