12. Well he got some information that did not sit well with him..Since he wont say what it is, it's his problem.

Brush off without explanation sounds like he has a personal issue that is uncomfortable for him to talk about....Again, his problem..
I had a similar situation with an old friend. Buddies since our late teens. We had the same interests and hobbies. He slowly turned from liberal to neutral to asshole conservative over the years. Long story short I kept telling him to stop sending me his mindless forwarded right wing emails and meme bullshit.
Then one day he just said he has had enough, good bye, don't call or try to get in touch..
At least him and I know why he wanted to end the friendship...... politics...
Strange as I have other conservative friends and the trick for us is we don't talk politics. everything else is fair game...
