1. China will respond. More tarif increases on US goods with a dump of US treasureis,,,maybe 10-15% of their holdings.

They want to diversify their "basket of currency" holdings to impact more in other economies. They'll take a hit on gains, but we'll feel the impact more. While we tax everything we need to build product/systems that amount to a lot of export value...they will kill or opportunity in China. Plenty of other countries will fill the void.
