Trump will feign outrage over Musk's betrayal of America, very publicly declare him "enemy of the people", and declare himself America's savior and protector, re-establishing the institutions Musk destroyed in name only, but filling them with his minions to serve himself. A page out of the Populist Authoritarianism for Dummies manual.

Musk is Trump's strawman in the making which Trump intends to take down right after the dirty work is done.
