I remember my mother practically jumping for joy when I got my polio vaccine as a young child. The risks of polio were real to her generation and she talked about avoiding swimming in the summer because of fear of catching it. She feared measels as well given her reaction when one of my close friends came down with them.

The irony of having the priviledge of the population being vaccinated so the disease is rare giving POS like RFK the platform to be anti-vax is lost on them.
