Thousands rally in D.C. as Trump protesters gather across U.S.

1. To my very fallible eye, that looks more like tens of thousands, possibly over one hundred thousand. But I don't know

Regardless, it is great. I hope no doomers poo-poo the turnout, because this is just the beginning of a long season of protests. Organizers will get practice and participants will gain enthusiasm and make new friends.

As time goes on, perhaps before long, economic conditions will worsen and government service to US residents will decline and outrages will mount. The number of red-hat-adjacents joining in the protests will increase, as will the number of Democrats, liberals, and progressives.
