Meanwhile the RETAILERS are STILL gouging the customers.

We see the same thing with gasoline prices. Crude oil prices drop for the gasoline refiners. Wholesale gasoline from those refiners to distributors/retail stations finally drop. Retail gas stations then take a LOOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGG time to finally drop their prices for the customers.
