14. You still need a photobucket or similar account, or a social media image-sharing account...

...such as Instagram or Pinterest, to post YOUR photos here. You cannot directly upload your own photos to a DU post, as you can on many social media services.

Before the ubiquity of social media services, an account with photobucket or some similar photo fileshare utility was necessary if you (for instance) made a meme and wanted to share it on DU.

Now you can tweet it out or add it to your Facebook page, Instagram account, etc., copy the image location from there, and hotlink it here in a DU post.

And hopefully will again.

I do love image sharing here on DU, especially SCE's Sunday Special. But I remember 2016, and keeping the site safe is WAY more important.
