3. Modern internet is needed lots of places it is not.

But the last mile costs are insane. Spending a million bucks to get cable or fiber to some house in the mountains is a waste of money. Thats where starlink is good. At some point I see companies like comcast "sub" contracting to starlink. Cheaper for comcast to pay the 500 bucks for a starlink dish and slap a comcast label on it, than to run fiber a few miles to a single house some where in the middle of no where.

I know of a house that the owner bought when when they won a big lottery. They paid comcast 2 million to run internet to their house, 4 miles off the main road. It all had to be underground. The neighbors got to jump on the line for 69 bucks.
