As the US became urbanized and those markets shrank they turned to "self defense" and moved from marksmanship and safety to fear of "the other" stoking racism and paranoia. They went from accuracy and sportsmanship to rate-of-fire and lethality.

All semi automatic firearms that accept removable magazines should be banned along with the manufacture, transfer or possession of same.
