(8,692 posts)I used to work for a major department store, I worked in supply chain but during the prom rush I would camp out in the ladies formals department of a store in Orange County with my laptop. I had access to most of the designer's inventory systems so I could say pretty confidently whether we could get something in a given size by a certain date.
From my little perch I saw a whole lot of angry meltdowns directed at parents who either wouldn't spring for the most expensive gown or go along with the dress with a bellybutton neckline. What is inherently more revealing about this woman's behavior while being extorted by a towing company than the endless litany of young women having temper tantrums over their prom dress and saying horrible hateful things to their parents?
People get mad and say terrible things. Then they calm down and feel guilt and embarrassment.
If this woman behaves this way when she doesn't get enough cream cheese icing at Cinnabon, okay we have an issue. This occurred while she was being extorted. If colleagues and other retail type people come out of the woodwork with tales of her abusive behavior I will concede that she may in fact be a terrible person.
