atrocities of war, famine, and natural disasters to get money under false pretenses exist all over the world, including domestically.

But this is different from foreign accounts, posting as Americans and US based accounts, disseminating lies, propaganda, and fueling hate for the purpose of undermining a nation, causing discord, promoting an authoritarian, far right, supremacist, nationalistic agenda, .and bringing about the demise of our democracy.
