5. I love and respect JC, but as a resident of this state I agree with you.

There has been a lot of migration into Texas in the last ten to twenty years, many of these people have been blue leaning, but many are red. It’s true that all of the large metro areas like DFW, Houston, and Austin are reliably blue, but once you get ten miles outside the city limits in these areas it’s blood red. That’s how the Republicans have kept a stranglehold on the Statehouse. I’m sorry, but rural Texas voters are just not going to vote for a black woman, no matter how qualified and smart she is.
