14. If I paste the first link in the browser address bar, go to the site, copy the link and paste it to another window...

the conversion takes place and the second window has the second link's value in the address bar. Even when I copy from a Firefox browser to Edge, the converted link pastes. So, the conversion definitely happens when copying from a Firefox URL.
