When you consider that cane sugar is primarily produced in Florida, Louisiana, and Texas...this would be excellent for Trump's sycophants!

The issue is that sugarcane accounts for roughly 40-45% of the total sugar produced domestically, with sugar beets making up the remaining percentage.

Of course this means that the US will still have to import to satisfy domestic demand!
