In reply to the discussion: Mrs Betty Bowers, Re:This this puritanical pixie, and his placebo of prayer. [View all]And the damage that's done to their neighbor (fellow humans) will be exactly what they will have to answer for when their souls stand before God's judgment. On Judgment Day, all humans will be judged for what they did or didn't do to obey what Jesus called the Two Great Commandments:
Love God with your whole heart, soul, strength and mind, and
Love your neighbor as yourself.
What they need to do before anything else is repent, because God forgives, but only those who admit they sinned against God and their neighbor, and ask for forgiveness by praying an act of contrition (show a contrite heart), then do penance/atonement and make amends to those they've hurt.
Because if say they're sorry to God and then go ahead and keep doing to their neighbor what they repented for, they are mocking God, which is unforgivable.
God isn't some ATM machine of forgiveness and salvation.
