Wednesday

when members of congress would spend weeks, sometimes longer, in Washington when congress was in session. It wasn’t like today where they fly home every weekend. Because they were there for long periods at a time, they socialized with each other and worked together, even on issues they disagreed about. Thanks to Newt Gingrich and others, that is in the past. Unfortunately, too many don’t realize that.
