Each time the U.S. came close to a revolution in the 20th century, the robber barons gave a little back. In the 1930s we got the New Deal. In the 1960s, fear of communism got us the Civil Rights laws and Medicare/Medicaid.

We're overdue for another reset. I hope it happens peacefully because the other way means a lot of death and suffering for many, many people, with an uncertain outcome.
