18. In 1962, I marched my high school band in the Rose Parade.

As the drum major in my senior year, that was my job. It was a long, long parade, made even longer by how early we had to show up and prepare to march.

Sadly, there is no video of that parade, since it was long before the VCR and home video cameras appeared.
