Bad punctuation dyslexic ramble.
Been busy last couple days and over coffee catching up on news just plain ignorance that frat boy. Liz and i used to talk over coffee, what the heck we’d say is wrong with people.

Here we are 2024. Fourty years ago maybe two days into OSUT infantry training down at Benning now Fort Moore. Our Drill sgt told us hit showers then putting us into racks. This one white kid was hesitant and Drill asked him what hollering saying get moving.

And the kid probably my age a lot our ages then around 18 said he don’t wanna shower with black folks. Long for the short ,one screws up we all get punished we got smoked for long time in platoon bay over that.

About four years later 1988 i went to friends wedding i served with in 82nd. I was done with my three years i was civilian by this time I drove down Mississippi. Day or two before wedding his mom needed ride to grocery store i took her I remember thinking i wanna get something we can all eat over cookout.

I was staying with him and his mom , well at store I held door open for her and I can’t remember maybe couple old white guys probably my age now late 50’s early 60’s just glared at me.

She said don’t do that around here honey this ain’t the north she was a black woman.
