GOP senators warn Bondi not to slow-walk release of Epstein files
(The Hill) Republican senators are warning Attorney General Pam Bondi not to slow-walk the public release of records and documents related to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein following votes by the House and Senate demanding the documents. The calls come amid speculation that the Justice Department may cite ongoing investigations or other reasons to hold back material. Bondi on Wednesday said that "new information" obtained by investigators had spurred the Justice Department to reverse its earlier decision to close investigations related to Epstein.

A network of cameras scans and records vehicle license plate information, and an algorithm flags vehicles deemed suspicious based on where they came from, where they were going and which route they took. Federal agents in turn may then flag local law enforcement.

Natalie Greene, 26, a Rutgers law student, appeared in federal court on Wednesday, charged with one count of conspiracy to convey false statements and hoaxes and one count of making false statements to federal law enforcement in connection with a staged attack. The case has echoes of the 2019 hate crime actor Jussie Smollett staged against himself, which became a fixation for MAGA. Greene worked as a constituent services representative for Van Drew, who has represented New Jerseys 2nd Congressional District since 2019.

Vaccine skeptic and U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as well as U.S. President Donald Trump have promoted the theory - contrary to scientific evidence - that childhood vaccines are a cause of autism. But the CDC's website previously said "studies have shown there is no link between receiving vaccines and developing autism spectrum disorder."
