3. It was a day at the NCGA yesterday. They cleared out the public comment section.

Because they started chanting...

“Racist maps make racist reps! Racist maps make racist reps!”

After dozens of North Carolina voters gave public comment on proposed maps aimed at erasing Black voting power in CD1, lawmakers proceeded to kick those folks out #ncpol

Of course many came to the retirement community from other places, but others lived in Black Mountain or Asheville.

It's not fun. They are really mean about dissent. But it's necessary, good trouble.
