1. The uncomfortable fact is that every single one of us has to live with a degree of cognitive dissonance. . .

. . . inconsistency and a little hypocrisy to survive in our daily lives. None of is perfect and all-virtuous and logical in all things.

But without a certain degree of personal stability, we would also find it impossible to function and thrive.

The point the I am making here-- and really, I'm trying to understand this in real time as my mind stumbles its way forward, is that the MAGA crowd is a precarious Jenga tower trying to hold out against gravity. And I'm starting to think that the greater threat to this current regime is from its own base which is kicking out its own blocks (to torture the metaphor a bit longer) and weakening the top heavy structure.

So will No Kings Patriots bring down the current order? Or will it tumble from its own instability? I don't claim to know and while I do want this Administration to crumble, I am honestly terrified of the whole process. Mind you, I'm NOT terrified that being White won't make me "special" or automatically important anymore, but this all just a mess.
