ANOTHER DAY: The real reason for Trump reopening Alcatraz surges into spotlight.

onald Trump focuses on optics not a
surprise coming from a man with such a
majestic appearance this is just another
day today with investors still skittish
about the US economy and small
businesses still reeling from continued
uncertainty Trump decided to ignore it
all and instead talk about how gorgeous
a new football stadium in DC is going to
be there's no scene like it there's no
sight like it i do my whole life was
based on sights yes Trump is a man who
cares deeply about the way things look
which I suppose is news to his face hair
and entire body but Adonis aside there
has never been a more revealing
statement from this president that truly
showcased his lack of financial
knowledge and made it abundantly clear
that he is all about optics trump has
spent every day of his second
administration bragging that each of his
genius economic moves have been made
with the intent of putting more money in
the pockets of Americans and he
continued to make good on that promise
this weekend your birthday's coming up
yeah and there are reports that you're
looking into the possibility of a
military parade not for my birthday what
can you when would it be my birthday
happens to be on Flag Day so I think
they're talking about Flag Day but I
view it for Flag Day not necessarily my
birthday somebody put it together but no
I think we're going to do something on
June 14th maybe uh or somewhere around
there but I think June 14th it's a very
important day it's Flag Day plus we're
going to have uh different days you know
if you look at Russia they celebrate
Victory Day and look if uh Kristen
Walker really wanted to do Trump a solid
she could have offered him a pillow to
hide his erection for authoritarian
regimes so we're going to have a victory
day for World War I and for World War II
and will it be a military parade what
can people expect because nobody knows
this and just paint a picture for me
what will those parades look like will
it be military parades you mean like on
Flag Day yes we're going to have a big
beautiful parade a military parade yeah
sure okay we're going to celebrate our
military we have the greatest military
people uh peanuts compared to the value
of doing it we have the greatest weapons
in the world and we're going to
celebrate it so while Elon and his crew
of barely drinking age doge dudes rumage
through the federal government
purportedly looking for waste fraud and
abuse Trump proudly wants American
taxpayers to foot the bill as he felt
himself on Pennsylvania Avenue now
besides being super fasy which frankly
should be enough of a reason not to do
it military parades are not just
exercises of our nation's might they are
also exercises in how to set the
country's money on fire it costs over
150 grand an hour for one plane to fly
over the Super Bowl and uh just a hunch
but I'm guessing Trump will ask for more
than one plane so Americans get all the
expensive flash of the Super Bowl minus
the opportunity to gamble our life
savings away and not for nothing but
besides the absurd cost for Trump's
vanity parade having our badass tanks
and missiles slowly roll down the
streets of DC is truly the least
impressive way of showing off our
weapons trump had clear runway to go
full Olympus has fallen and opted
instead for Macy's Thanksgiving Day
parade but again Trump doesn't care
about what something costs he just cares
about how it looks us President Donald
Trump has directed officials to rebuild
and reopen the notorious Alcatraz prison
on an island near San Francisco's Golden
Gate hey why not he's already proposed
cutting a billion dollars from our
national parks might as well just turn
them all into prisons i bet Trump would
love to throw some bars over the Grand
Canyon and just call it a day and look I
can't say for sure where Trump got this
Alcatraz idea but I have a hunch because
this past Saturday while Donald Trump
was staying at Mara Lago the local
public station just so happened to be
playing Escape from Alcatraz on air the
man is defunding PBS while
simultaneously using it as his top
source for domestic policy if Trump
starts suddenly railing against our
large yellow aven population I think we
know why in reality Alcatraz is no
longer a functioning prison because it
costs too much that is why it was shut
down in the 1960s you see it's a small
island and the funny thing about small
islands is you have to constantly send
stuff there food fuel supplies all of
that costs money i know Trump is
familiar with some of what takes place
on small islands but clearly not the
financials it's long been a symbol

trump University is no longer want to
try again but I think it represents
something right now it's a big hulk
that's sitting there rusting and rotting
uh very uh you look at it it's sort of

got a lot of qualities that are

trump has no clue that his Alcatres
rebuild would cost taxpayers over $200
million and the price tag on what it
would cost to operate it annually is60
million which oddly is how much it
currently brings in again he doesn't
care about costs he just thinks it looks
cool the Trump administration says that
it will pay illegal immigrants
$1,000 to voluntarily leave the country
sorry just doing some math here 11
million immigrants $1,000 each that
comes out to an insane idea
before even factoring in the billions in
opportunity costs being lost by
deporting millions of workers who pay
into our tax system and receive nothing
in return Trump is already forking over
11 billion in taxpayer funds for God's
sakes if you want to make it rain at the
club don't ask everybody else to pay for
it and speaking of things that look cool
Trump is now taking on one of America's
top visual mediums the president saying
that he will now put a 100% tariff on
movies that as he puts it are coming
into our country that are produced in
foreign lands he says we want movies
made in America again it's not precisely
clear whether this includes all foreign
language movies that are shown for uh
for instance in art house cinemas
whether it includes uh foreign
productions on streaming services or
whether it includes all movies that
include some aspect of production that
are outside of the United States of
course it's not clear the horrible and
beautiful and strong and miserable and
weak eye does not traffic in clarity
just like the Americanmade cars are
assembled from parts all over the world
so are the movies there might be a
Hollywood action movie that's written in
America have parts of it shot in Canada
have some of the CGI done in Ireland and
then for the final sequence where Kiana
Reeves single-handedly takes on an
insecure autocrats over-the-top military
parade they head over to Russia although
I guess I can see one part of that movie
being filmed here now look this is a
real issue jobs have evaporated from the
American television and film industry a
lot of shows that are supposed to take
place in New York use the city of
Vancouver because it's cheaper ozark
famously filmed filmed not in the Ozarks
but in Georgia because of the tax
incentives and for all of those movies
that take place in the blackness of deep
space as a location they use Steven
Miller's heart look having these jobs
returned to the states would be amazing
and I'm sure Trump has some coherent
messaging to make that happen other
nations a lot of them have stolen our
movie industry and I'm saying if they're
not willing to make a movie inside the
United States and we should have a
tariff on movies that come in trump is
the only guy who sees an exchange of
goods and services as theft the only
world leader looking to punish foreign
countries for the crime of buying our
goods but just because he's going to war
with the film industry that doesn't mean
that he's going alone but he's bringing
in some heroes to help him sort it out
john Voit Sylvester Stallone and Mel
Gibson those are supposed to be his
ambassadors for Hollywood apparently
they're going to solve the problem along
with Howard Lutnick the commerce
secretary my god it's like a who's who
of actors you forgot were alive wake up
Gam Gam it's news about the talkies your
version of the Avengers is assembling
and to boot it's in living color and
John Voit forget seeing the tariffs to
completion i don't know if the guy is
going to make it to Trump's birthday
parade the reality is that Donald Trump
does not care about government
efficiency or saving taxpayer dollars or
even doing a small part of homework to
educate himself on the efficacy of his
own proposals like he said his whole
life has been based on sites and when
you look at everything this president is
proposing oh what a horrible site it
is.
