This is not a rehabilitation of George W. Bush, but just showing how far the GOP has gone to abandon its previous convictions to line up behind whatever sound comes out of Donald J. Taft's pie hole.

I have never been a GWB fan obviously (and his cowardice in 2024 will be a stain on him through history to add to the very, very long list), but watching him compared to Donald J. Taft, he almost sounds intelligent.

and because of it W has no credibility. In 2000, W created the Presidential election stealing roadmap that caused millions of Americans to decide that democracy no longer works and that tRump then used in 2020 and since and W's disastrous economic policies that included tax cuts for the rich and letting the banks run wild created the bad economic conditions that left so many behind. W should never be given credit for anything because W created the tRump nightmare. No one should ever forget 2000. It's how we got here.

4. Reagan didn't steal an election

like W did. Reagan's policies were certainly bad but stealing an election wasn't one of them. tRump is using W's thwarting of the will of the people Presidential election theft playbook,

6. Iran-Contra

Iran-Contra effectively stole the election from Jimmy Carter with the collusion of Iran in the hostage negotiations that were intentionally stalled to aid Reagan's election efforts.

7. Reagan didn't stop a legal vote count

like W did. W stopped the legal Florida vote count because he knew he would lose if all of the uncounted Florida votes were counted and then got his father's cronies on the SCOTUS to rubberstamp his coup.
