USA Deletes China App TikTok - Joe Blogs
In this video I discuss the news that TikTok has been shutdown in the USA. TikTok is the world's 4th largest Social Media Platform and the largest Chinese Platform, being owned by a Chinese Company called Bytedance. It is estimated that TikTok earns global revenues of over $30 Billion and that around 50% of this is generated in the USA where there are over 170 Million users. In April 2023 the USA ordered TikTok to be sold to a USA owner due to National Security concerns however as that has not happened by the deadline of 19th January the App has now been shutdown in the USA.
