I also have her first two books and she reveals both his history and his cruelty. For example, when his father (Mary's grandfather) died, he was so desperate for money that he tried to disinherit his remaining siblings - until his mother found out. But since their father (Donald's older brother) died young, he did manage to disinherit Mary and her brother. Not only did he do that, but when Mary's brother and his wife had a severely disabled baby who initially needed round the clock care, he cut them off from the family's health insurance.
