Related: About this forumShould President Biden Pardon The Innocent: Liz Cheney, Bennie Thompson, Jack Smith & Others? - Glenn Kirschner
It's being reported that President Joe Biden is considering issuing pardons to people who committed no crimes, but who are in Donald Trump crosshairs to be vindictively prosecuted.
There are strong arguments on either side of this volatile issue: whether the people who investigated, exposed and attempted to prosecute Trump for his crimes should be given pardons - even though they, themselves have committed no crimes - to prevent Trump's weaponized Justice Department from wrongfully prosecuting those people.
This video lays out the arguments on both sides of the issue. - Glenn Kirschner - 12/10/2024.

OP
And it would be a tough decision since we know that accepting a pardon is considered admission of guilt

I'm just saying that that's what acceptance of a pardon is considered, like all those last minute pardons by TFG

The president is still deciding whether he'll go ahead with the pardons, last we heard

But in the case of Jack Smith and the January 6th Committee members, they were just doing their respective jobs.

Especially since we have oodles of proof of Trump's retribution plan.

And what he says are his plans for the violent January 6th insurrectionists who are now in prison.

I say we fight them with every weapon available.

And they have a right to do so. They may well end up regretting that decision.

And it is pretty insane to have to issue pardons to protect those who committed no crimes, they just tried to hold a criminal to account which was their job.
