I was at Trending Up earlier this week, a conference for progressive content creators, and got to spend some time with Skye Perryman, the CEO of Democracy Forward. Democracy Forward is responsible for some of the most effective litigation against the administration (they literally had Project 2025 lawsuits ready to go the first day of the administration because they had, ya know, read it). They’re most recently responsible for a judge halting the administration of the $1.776B bribery fund from the DOJ. Skye has been in the fight this whole time, so I brought her some of the doomy comments I get all the time, to see what her response would be. We covered:

-What’s the point of suing, they’re just going to ignore the courts
-What’s the point of voting in the midterms, he’s just going to pay J6 people to stop us
-What’s the point of voting when you’re in a gerrymandered place?
-What’s the point of the midterms, they’re just going to steal them

Doomers. Hadn't heard that.

It's easy to get discouraged, but giving up isn't an option. There are a lot of posts on social media by people from other countries chastising the US, including those of us who didn't vote for Trump, saying we're not doing enough, & then yesterday I saw a meme, by an Aussie defending us, that stated:

"Resistance isn't failure because it hasn't won yet.
Resistance is why the story isn't over yet."

Hell yeah!
