1. never underestimate the power of modern medicine

my grandmother looked worse than trump, had multiple issues like poor circulation, moderate dementia, even cancer... and she lived until she was either 97 or 98... This all started when she was 80.

But my mother and her doctors kept her alive and kicking well past the date most doctors gave her when she was 81 and first diagnosed with cancer.

That said.. and I loved my grandmother.. but she did turn into a shadow of her former self, a really mean shadow.
