But I'm not sure that Democrats are playing this correctly.

It might be a better idea to appear to knuckle under and say "you know... construction of fancy buildings is one thing this guy actually knows better than almost anyone. We support the president working on this full time until he sees it to completion. Let others worry about the less important stuff like running the country"
