I've only seen the White House from a distance when I was in D.C. It was during the Obama administration and when I saw a figure in one of the upper windows, I imagined that it was Michelle Obama putting her girls to bed.

5. I've only been to D.C. a couple of times, the first was when my uncle worked there and I had a flight layover

I'd been to visit my grandmother at her retirement community in NC and she always called my uncle to leave work and look after me. I was in my 20s, but it was still nice to see him and my younger cousin. And once when my flight home was late, he took me to his office to show me around. He was a computer tech and he liked visiting my office since I worked with computers, too - though it wasn't quite the same. *sigh*

I don't know why this demolition is getting to me, but it is. This idiot-in-chief has no sense of history.

And yes, I know how you feel about all this. It's the cruelty, he thrives on hurting people.

We drove past the Supreme Court, the FBI building and went to Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials. Got to go in the National Archives and see the Declaration of Independence and I think, the Constitution...Drove through Arlington Cemetery and around the city in general...it was great...

And the usurper-in-chief has even managed to desecrate that sacrosanct place...
