Trump: 'I absolutely love' that Colbert got cancelled - CNN The Arena

Trump personally celebrated the cancellation of CBS' "The Late Show" on Friday morning, writing on Truth Social that “I absolutely love that Colbert got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings. I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next. Has even less talent than Colbert!” - Aired on 07/18/2025.

By firing Colbert but let him continue for quite some months. By putting pressure on Kimmel. They unleash hell. Colbert has no more fucks to give and Kimmel knows he's next. I have learned over the years that good comedians are not only highly intelligent but also highly empathic. You should check out our own golden boy Alex Agnew on that matter With both getting axed because of a dumb petulant man child, I think they will have a lot to say that will resonate with the American people.

This puts pressure on all the late night guys to lay off TFG, but now Stephen Colbert has no reason to (as if he would anyway). And Jimmy Kimmel went into a tirade about what happened to Colbert, rather than competitors, the late night guys are all friends. During the writers' strike they all (Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, Jimmy Fallon and John Oliver) teamed up on a podcast, Strike Force Five, to support their out-of-work staff.

8. Like any stupid criminal, TSF didn't think that he left enough fingerprints behind.

OF COURSE, the settlement with CBS included getting rid of Colbert AND The Late Show, the latter to be sure that another anti-Trump pundit didn't take over.

Even his fellow late night hosts are pissed off and aren't willing to shut up.
