For Carville (and VandeHei) "massive collapse" usually means corporate media will start reporting on Trump's negative polling numbers. Maybe Trump's "collapse" will be more consequential.

Will much of the insane antics be reversed by judicial review? Possibly. The question then becomes will they abide by judicial review. Possibly again.

In the long run the Reactionary Party may lose control of the House and Senate in 2026 but collapse? No.

total collapse. They have bitten off a great deal more than they can possibly chew because their assumptions about the government are based on fantasy and paranoia, not an understanding of the levers of power. Musk and Trump both mistakenly act as if they are the CEOs of an enormous company where they have the power to hire and fire at will.
