LIVE International Roundtable
European and American right-wing factions are rejecting the norms of democracy, freedom of the press and individual rights. With the rise of authoritarianism, we are seeing the deliberate instigation of bigotry and intolerance toward the ‘other.’
We must comprehend the scope and purposes of the ultra-conservative movement if we are to effectively confront it. To prevail, we must clearly articulate a vision of shared prosperity, personal freedom, economic fairness and, most importantly, human dignity – the basic tenets of a vital democracy.
The International Roundtable will be a Call to Action to create Progressive International, a global network of individuals and organizations to counter-balance the rightwing and to shift the balance of power back to ordinary citizens.
