Its intense and disturbing, and should come with a trigger warning for survivors of sexual violence. The story focuses on issues that are very important without being agitprop.
The film-making, writing, and acting are very well done. The characters are convincing and the world it brings the viewer into is believable. And its dramatically tight and satisfying as a narrative. Jeremy Renners character is a deeply good man, which is ultimately what makes this a compelling story.
Recommended, with the trigger caveat noted above.

Based on a true story, totally needs a trigger warning.
Life on the rez isn't what most people imagine.
