(26,323 posts)1. MOZART!!
Playedby Tom Hulce, also known as Larry "Pinto" Kroger in Animal House!!
On the keyboard, he quotes Non Piu Andrai, from Le Nozze de Figaro. An opera that is bass-friendly, unlike others outside of Russian opera, which mostly befuddles me (the words anyway).
The commisioned opera "Abduction from the Seraglio" has a big bass part but it's for the slimy Osmin.
F Murray Abraham (Salieri) later tells the truth about Mozart's music.
It is the "voice of God"
I tell my Christian friends to get familiar with Mozart's music, because that's what's played in heaven. And if there's no heaven, or I don't go there (I am Buddhist, after all) then I will have enjoyed the very best part of it right here.
