Related: About this forumJust realized, something 'else' about Ukraine:
In 1905, Tevye, a poor Jewish milkman living in the Ukrainian village of Anatevka, a typical shtetl in the Pale of Settlement of Imperial Russia, compares the lives of the Jews of Anatevka to a fiddler on the roof.
Fiddler on the Roof is based on Tevye and his Daughters (or Tevye the Dairyman) and other tales by Sholem Aleichem .

Probably would have favored the Russians over the Ukrainians. Ive never had the warm and fuzzies for Ukraine, but theyre a fledgling democracy, learning westward. Im hoping they are able to survive.
