Related: About this forumSo the Patriots fired Jerod Mayo because
apparently he didn't do well enough. Word has it that owner Robert Kraft will now be expecting someone to come in and massage the situation of finding a new head coach. Kraft has been very successful with the Patriots during the Brady/Belichick years and because of this previous success the fan base loves Kraft a long time. Some say he is firm about staying hard at it and is convinced it will bring a happy ending. Good luck to the Patriots, their owner and all of their fans.

(17,522 posts)Kraft is an interesting character. I know he is well liked, but some of the books about the "Dynasty years" really bend over backwards to make him out to be a saint. It's almost comical, especially in that almost-laughable (but by no means bad or worthless) book "The Dynasty" by Jeff Benedict. That book was so ridiculously flattering of Kraft that he supposedly gives out free copies to anyone and everyone.
