(22,711 posts)I remember my 500th home run. Er, no I don't! Because it never happened, even on the sandlot as a kid!

(1,924 posts)I came to the USA to live on July 4th 1976, as a citizen born abroad (Germany). It helped me learn to read English, taught me words, introduced me to my first concept of what Greatness is or can be.
Mike Schmidt was one of those guys I admired and I hope you'll understand how special that post you made was because tonight is the very first time I heard that call and 38 years later, I still got chills as if I was there that day.
