(11,999 posts)The problem with super cars is upkeep cost. I could get a late model Porsche or something, but the maintenance costs are just too prohibitive. This Lotus is built around a Toyota drivetrain. I could get it repaired anywhere! Mrs. Glam, while leaning towards no, is actually entertaining the idea because of that selling point.

(35,073 posts)That's the whole point. Don't need no Prius.

(3,055 posts)Its probably the best car weve ever owned. We also have had minivans for the dogs and anything else that we need to haul. The Z car was our date night car. 350s are all pretty old now though since they havent been made for a while. The 370z is a nice car. The maintenance has never been too expensive. We still have our 350 and it runs well. Its been from Miami to Boston and all over New England. We brought it back down to FL and then drove it back up to NC and went cruising around the mountains up there. My boss has a Super 7. He drives it around during the winter down here in South Florida. Its way too hot to drive in the summer months. Anyway, I recommend looking into the 370. The only time our 350 broke down was when the battery died. Its super fast and the handling is amazing with the right tires. Good luck with whatever you end up getting. Have fun!

(11,999 posts)Good advice! Nissan makes a great car. We had a 95 pathfinder for years. Loved it!

(6,672 posts)A friend went through her crisis and bought a cool sports car. However, she had problems getting in and out of the very low-slung car. Eventually had to get rid of it because it progressively got harder and harder. She was so bummed!
